Programs

Exhibitions

We present two pop-up exhibitions each year in alternative spaces across New York, aligned with the city’s major art seasons in May and September. These exhibitions feature Sinophone artists and cross-cultural practitioners whose work thrives within a flexible, non-institutional context. Embracing a nomadic format, our exhibition program invites site-specific experimentation and conceptual risk-taking, offering space for artistic inquiry beyond commercial and conventional constraints.

Publications

We collaborate with exhibiting artists to produce bilingual publications that document and extend the conceptual and material dimensions of each project, serving as both critical reflections and creative continuations of the exhibition.

Artist Residency

In partnership with residency programs in New York, Mandarin Express offers short-term, funded opportunities to emerging artists within three years of graduation, supporting their artistic research and cross-cultural engagement. This initiative provides space, resources, and professional guidance at a formative stage of practice.
